Tunes
Slow Dancing (2005)
This tune was recorded using a Warmoth Carved top VW (24.75" scale) having a mahogany back and quilted maple top. It has a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover neck pick up, Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack in the middle and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge pickup. This was recorded using the neck pickup (slight roll of on volume and tone). This guitar was run to a Boss SD1 used as a boost. This signal ran to the clean channel of my Genz Benz El Diablo 60C 1x12 combo amp running at noon for gain and volume (master volume was a 2 o'clock). I used a Weber Load Dump set at maximum attenuation to keep the actual amp volume nearly silent. The speaker compensated line out ran to the board, with an additional line out from a Ultra G100 haivng 4x12 cab/speaker emulation running to another track on the board. The board was a Behringer 18 channel board that ran to a Presonus Firebox firewire sound card. This ran to a Dell 8600 Inspiron under Cakewalk's Home Studio. The bass was recorded using my Fernandez Vertigo running through the Ultra G100 to the board (4x12 emulation on). The drums were arranged using a drum loops compilation. I eq'ed the bass and drums in home studio. The bass was compressed in Home Studio at about 4:1. One lead track had the spring reverb on it; the other had some compression on it.

This guitar was connected to a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic pedal for both the rhythm and lead tones. The signal then ran to the clean channel of a DigiTech Twin Tube preamp to a ADA MicroCab. This ran to a Behringer 18 channel board connected to a Presonus Firebox firewire sound card. The recording was done on a Dell 8600 Inspiron using Cakewalk's Home Studio 2XL.
The bass was recorded using my Fernandez Vertigo bass running direct to the board (with eq and compression). The drums were arranged using a Beta Monkey Drum Loops. All effects are standard Home Studio and the Eq used was from Home Studio. The effects included compression, echo, and reverb on various tracks.
This tune was recorded using a 2006 Les Paul Standard with 50th Ann. Seth Lovers and an RS 50's wiring modification. The clean guitar parts were dual tracked (2 seperate takes) using a DigiTech Twin Tube preamp to a ADA MicroCab hard panned left and right (no effects). The lead channel was a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic (SFX-03) running into a Genz Benz El Diablo 60C on the clean channel. The track was doubled with echo on one and none on the other with both panned to the center. The amp was recorded using a SM57 microphone out front. The SM57 ran to a Behringer 18 channel board connected to a Presonus Firebox firewire sound card. The recording was done on a Dell 8600 Inspiron using Cakewalk's Home Studio 2XL.
